The following is our schedule of closings for the holiday:
- Saturday is classes as usual so get in here and train train train before the long break.
- Next week we are closed Monday through Friday - December 24-28.
- We are open Saturday, December 29th for Kids Kung Fu, Adult Kung Fu, and Tai Chi.
- We are closed Monday and Tuesday, December 31st and January 1st.
- We reopen for classes on Wednesday, January 2nd for full steam ahead.
Take this time off to rest your bodies and recover. You train hard most of the year and your body has to get an occasional reprieve. Use it wisely and you will come back stronger and faster than before. And remember, the holiday is 1 day, so try to contain your bad food to just that day and not the entire week. Self-Control, right?!?!
Upcoming Events:
In January we have our annual Gun Disarm course. This is an excellent way to learn to disarm someone with a firearm. NOTE: Please remember that we scheduled this course months ago, and announced it on December 7th (see time stamp in blog post), well before the recent tragedy in Connecticut. It is a sad and unfortunate event and we do not wish to capitalize on the misfortune of others. Please continue to support this course and event so we can all benefit from these skills.
Pull-Up Station
We will be installing the new pull-up station on Wednesday, December 26th. By the time you return to classes you'll have a brand new toy to play with in the Fitness classes!!! Good stuff!!!
Tournament
Congratulations to all the competitors in the recent BJJ competition. I am immensely proud of Riley, Kristina, Henry, and Laoshi Cyr for having the courage to step on the mat and test their skills! You all did great!
Personal Note
It has been a great year at Plum Blossom Fitness Martial Arts, with many new faces, and positive changes within the school. I am proud of each of you for the hard work, dedication, and commitment to your training and self-improvement that you exude. I have much to be thankful for this year, but I am especially thankful to have the opportunity to train alongside you, and share my knowledge with each of you. Best wishes to you and your families over the holidays and into the new year. - Master Brown
