Sifu Puyot's Visit

The Women's Self-Defense Seminar was a resounding success. Everyone had a good time and learned valuable techniques and information that may one day save their lives. The intent is to now offer these classes quarterly and covering different material and scenarios. Everyone who took the seminar said they would recommend it to a friend or relative. I would encourage anyone who missed it to partake in future classes and speak to those who attended so you can hear what they have to say.

The Fighting Seminar was also a big hit and some of the students were very impressive. I was particulary proud of Matt and Mike as after only two classes they had a pretty good handle on one of the more difficult tasks in fighting. Excellent work guys! The rest of the class did a phenomenal job as well and people really noticed a difference in their skill level after a relatively short period of time.

Sunday we showed him around Boston (his first visit here) and hit some of the typical touristy type places. While visiting Chinatow for lunch we ran into a series of Lion Dances going on. One team in particular was amazing - an all women's Lion Dance team (the only one in the U.S.) based in Chinatown performed some awe-inspiring tricks with their lion's, complete with climbing benches, flips, rolls, and numerous other tricks.

I would like to thank Sifu Puyot for taking the time out of his busy schedule to travel here and teach/train with us. We had a great weekend and many positive comments were received by all who attended his seminars. Much was accomplished and the groundwork was laid for a growing relationship and future visits (providing there's no snow to be seen).

Keep your eyes open for a return trip in the not so distant future.
